Malaysian ‘Global Mentoring Walk’ (GMW) 2016

PROGRAM INFORMATION:
-Initiated by Vital Voices Global Partnership – a US based NGO
-Will be held simultaneously across 40 countries in conjunction with the International Women’s Day (IWD)
-Established and emerging women leaders will get together to walk for a good cause towards the empowerment of their community.

OBJECTIVE:
-Provides an opportunity for women to discuss and share professional issues and successes, allowing for an impromptu mentorship that expands and strengthens the existing network of women leaders in the country.
-Celebrates the importance of mentorship. Being a woman mentor who empathizes with issues surrounding family obligations and perceived gender roles, mentor can help the mentees navigate their way through professional and personal difficulties.
